ABOUT THE MEASLES & RUBELLA PARTNERSHIP

The Measles & Rubella Partnership (M&RP), previously the Measles & Rubella Initiative, has been helping deliver measles and rubella vaccines since 2000 to children worldwide, contributing to saving over 56 million lives and substantially reducing birth defects due to congenital rubella infections. Despite this progress, measles continues to be one of the leading vaccine preventable killer of children, globally. Under the umbrella of Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) and guided by the Measles and Rubella Strategic Framework 2030 (MRSF), M&RP’s current mission includes addressing decline in national vaccination coverage, hastening COVID-19 pandemic recovery and accelerating progress towards creating a world free of measles and rubella. The partnership consists of American Red Cross, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, US CDC, United Nations Foundation, UNICEF and WHO.

M&RP is part of IA2030, an ambitious global strategy to maximize the lifesaving impact of vaccines – one of the most successful and cost-effective public health interventions of all time. IA2030 aims to avert over 50 million deaths by 2030 through access to essential vaccines and help build healthcare systems that can withstand the impact of pandemics and deliver rapid vaccination response.

In January 2023, Camber Collective received a four-year grant (2023-2026) from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to serve in a strategic program support and secretariat capacity for the M&RP. The role of the Program Support Unit is to spearhead day-to-day work-planning and ensure efficient monitoring and progress towards global MR goals. MEASLES & RUBELLA PARTNERSHIP (M&RP) PROGRAM SUPPORT UNIT LEAD JOB DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting a full-time, limited-term M&RP Program Support Unit Lead based in any of our offices or remotely. This position will be responsible for leading Camber’s role as Program Support Unit under the direction of the accountable project partner. The role will be a limited-term position for the remaining duration of the grant, July 2023 – December 2026. Key responsibilities for the position include:

  • Provide oversight and direction for full Program Support Unit team (1.0 FTE project manager, 1.0 data analyst, contractual communications support) to execute the functions of the Program Support Unit:
    • Create a strategic multi-year operational workplan and processes for the M&RP to achieve the objectives laid out in the Measles & Rubella Strategic Framework (MRSF)
    • Support the M&RP in day-to-day work planning, prioritization, monitoring and delivery
    • Track, manage, and report on progress against metrics
    • Support the integration of the partnership into the IA2030 structure
    • Develop mechanisms to elevate region and country voices
    • Establish and institute mechanisms for: documenting key risks & mitigating measures; mapping key stakeholders & interests; decision-making and conflict resolution; and tracking financial resources
    • Develop knowledge management and transfer mechanisms
    • Assist with strategy, conceptualizing and planning for potential future needs
    • In alignment with ongoing consultation processes of IA2030 and member organizations, harmonize engagement with countries, regions, community service organizations, and other partners on IA2030 & MRSF implementation topics
    • Support M&RP specific comms within IA2030 communications
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for M&RP decision support on coalition management and governance, broader stakeholder engagement, and execution against the MRSF
  • Facilitate, develop, and maintain relationships with and between the members of the M&RP and broader IA2030 stakeholders to ensure productive partnership
  • Reflect Camber values in stakeholder engagement, project delivery, and team management
  • Mentor and support the professional development of team members

Excellent candidates for this position will have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in strategy setting, coalition management, and strategic program implementation, including 5+ years within global public health and 5+ years coordinating senior-level coalitions or organizations, preferably at the global level
  • Master’s in Public Health (MPH), Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), or similar advanced degree
  • Proven ability to author exceptional C-Suite ready strategy documents
  • Experience providing overall leadership and driving team performance in the delivery of complex client-service engagements
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to develop relationships across multiple stakeholder types, including executives, implementers, community groups, and team members
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
  • Commitment to equity
  • English language fluency required; Fluency in French and/or other languages preferred
  • Country or regional experience in the global south preferred
  • Experience in global public health related to vaccines, and specifically measles and rubella, preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation for this role will be harmonized based on benefits norms and tax rates for the location in which the work will take place. The annual total compensation range for US candidates is $200,000-$230,000. Compensation for candidates for our Paris office is €150,000–€175,000. For other locations, compensation will be finalized prior to job offer.
