What We Do

The U.S. health system is large, fragmented, and shaped by competing incentives. The resulting cost burden and poor health outcomes fall hardest on patients and families in communities that are often already underserved. Getting the most from our healthcare system — for everyone — means addressing root causes, not just symptoms. We collaborate with partners across three principles:

How Our Work Takes Shape

  • Strengthening Care and Communities: We help organizations that deliver care and support communities to build strategies that expand access, improve outcomes, and make care more equitable.
  • Maximizing Value for Health: We work to make sure every healthcare dollar pays for value, lining up economic incentives so that spending leads to better health for patients, families, communities, providers, and the overall system.
  • Driving Innovation: We draw on our policy and market expertise, and work alongside stakeholders, to develop and refine new solutions to the health system’s hardest problems.

We’re working toward a future where everyone in the U.S. can access the care they need while the people who provide that care are supported.
