Taharat Sheikh
Analyst

Taharat specializes in translating rigorous data analysis into widely-accessible insights for social sector clients. She leverages her multidisciplinary background in human-centered design, health equity and strategy consulting to create sustainable impact. Taharat is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and Sociology. At Hopkins, Taharat was a recipient of a significant undergraduate research award that allowed her to design and conduct a years-long study on the re-entry experiences of recently incarcerated individuals. In separate ventures, Taharat has worked as an interventionist on a clinical trial for low-income Baltimore residents with chronic kidney disease, as well as a published researcher at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. There, she examined diagnostic disparities in primary and ambulatory care settings and organized a series of workshops that facilitated discussions between major stakeholder in healthcare. Following graduation, Taharat worked at Kennedy & Company, a higher-education consultancy; in her role as Analyst, she created extensive data models to help colleges and universities improve enrollment and student success. In her free time, Taharat enjoys frequenting coffee shops, trying new recipes, and listening to podcasts.
