Ben has experience guiding strategy development, operational and program design, and investment planning, in global health and development, climate & environment, U.S. healthcare, and economic mobility. He brings expertise in several sectors including vaccine development and delivery; maternal and newborn health; childhood infectious diseases; nutrition; and reproductive health, rights, and justice. Ben is also deeply committed to the lifelong work of learning/unlearning about race, racism, whiteness and the patriarchy, and consistently putting these ongoing learnings into practice in his personal and professional life. Over the past 9+ years at Camber, Ben has led projects with a diverse range of foundations and non-profits, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Packard Foundation, the Tara Health Foundation, Premera Blue Cross, Medicines360 and Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
In his role as Global Health Lead, Ben seeks to build values-aligned partnerships and design and deliver work that: supports the equitable and quality delivery of health products and services, facilitates strategic planning and/or resource mobilization for LMIC-led health systems and priorities, and addresses health system and delivery gaps through globally representative networks of public/private sector partners.
Prior to Camber, Ben managed partner evaluation and recruitment for the online fundraising network SeeYourImpact, cultivating relationships with over 50 organizations in 18 countries. He is also the co-founder of Maisha Meds, a Kenya-based health technology company.
Ben earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business with a certificate in Social Innovation and Public Management. He also holds a BA in International Relations from Pomona College and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Hong Kong. Ben lives in Paris with his wife, two daughters, and their dog Cosmo. In his free time, he loves cycling, gardening, playing kora and talking about (and drinking) kombucha.
